Greg,
John Omega Hunter is my 3rd great-grandfather. He was born in 1802 in
either Gates or Chowan County, NC and died in Yazoo City, MS in 1877. He
is buried there in Glenwood Cemetery. His son, my 2nd great-grandfather,
is Isaac Henry Hunter. Isaac was born in Gates Co, NC in 1830 and died in
Yazoo City, MS in 1896. I have his obit and pix of all the Hunter family
headstones. Isaac lost his an arm during the War for Southern
Independence but later became a justice of the peace, planter, etc.
